So, I lost four of my US shows last week.

Only sad about 1 of them, though )

Not many of the new shows pique my interest...

All of my shows (incl. new) per US network )
It's Election Day in Australia - voting for the federal government. I hope hope hope hope hope there's a change in government tonight. Second best option is a hung parliament, but only because it sounds funny. ;)

Anyways, I voted early, and then started watching TV - BBC TV. The first part in the dramatised doco "Beethoven", and the first episode of "The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy"... Never seen the TV H2G2 before.

Continuing the TV theme, I have a list of shows returning (& premiering) in what Americans call Fall. They're only the shows I'll be watching, though. For the full list, go here.

How many hours is it this time? )
Pacey-Con? It's official. Joshua Jackson is love.

Except for that scruff. It's fine on the face, but... stop, hair, just stop. ;)

"Pacey Witter is the greatest character in television history. Ever. Period."

I haven't been rewatching Dawson's Creek this month for anybody else. :)
I download American TV shows, so this list means almost nothing to me. I can't do anything for the ratings of my favourite US shows. But I decided to list them all & bold the ones I do watch anyway. Me = bored.

Also, ever wondered if Lorne (from Angel) read Craig Ferguson's future? I didn't until last weekend. Then I wrote about it: http://community.livejournal.com/platygrafics/11446.html

I'm on Team Leveraged & this is my signature-tag...

[livejournal.com profile] caperland has just recently started up, so you don't need to feel as if you're stumbling into something widely established (like, say, [livejournal.com profile] whedonland). There are a lot of newbies there, and a few 'experts' [like myself ;)] to help you understand the challenges. We've had a few graphics & writing tasks over the last few weeks, and one or two games. There'll be 1-2 challenges per week, and they're usually open for 1-2 weeks. Some challenges may be open longer depending on the difficulty. You don't have to do every challenge or game - just what suits your creativity, your time, and your general knowledge of the shows. There are also these things called luck games where you just have to choose one of the options & you'll get a certain amount of points. Easy!

This very post is giving me points! :P And if you join & say I directed you there, you'll be helping me get more points! Awesome, huh? :D

I need to rewatch Leverage & White Collar to brush up on their trivia. Burn Notice has been on my to-watch list since it started; I'll probably check out the pilot once all my other shows are over for this US TV season.
Michael Ausiello has a list up. These are the finales I'll be watching:

Why did I have to start getting fangirly about a show that nobody cares enough about to put up at my download source 2-8 hours after it's aired in the US?

Why?

Oliver Queen, that's why. I was never into bows and arrows before him. I liked swords and daggers. I even fancied the mace a bit. But arrows? Nah, they reminded me of poncy elves.;)

Dammit.

I'll likely go to bed before it'll be available. And then when I wake up I'll have to go out for a few hours. This wouldn't be such a problem if Ugly Betty and White Collar were still on Fridays, and Dollhouse hadn't ended.

Bah.

If the muse doesn't come by to help me out, I'm gonna hunt for more Oliver/Chloe fic.

[edit: Didn't write, didn't hunt, went to bed. 7.5hrs later... Still no "Absolute Justice" at that comm. :( ]

[edit: 12hrs since post-time... Still no "Absolute Justice"! I started a torrent 4hrs ago & went out. Came back to find it's at 35% and it expects another 13hrs. A 1hr show would normally take 2hrs to get to me, so for this 2hr special I'd expect no more than 5. *mopes* There is no other way for me to see this.]

[edit: 17hrs later... Nope, not up yet. My torrent now says 3.5hrs, so if it sticks to that I should be watching by 10pm today (Sunday). We'll see.]
This is my first TV-related "it's over" for the year...

Later on it'll be Ugly Betty and Lost. There's a possibility with Supernatural too (though I suspect a Season 6 will occur, I'll be satisfied if it sticks to the 5-year-plan).

I hope I can say "it's over" regarding Heroes. :P

I don't want to say goodbye to Chuck, though.

What I now watch on each US network )

I think that's it.
Well, there isn't much else in my life right now. Aside from writing. ;)

January
Jan. 3: Desperate Housewives
Jan. 4: Heroes (yes, still watching... two eps one day a fortnight seems to work better)
Jan. 5: NCIS [\o/]
Jan. 6: Ugly Betty [new night]
Jan. 8: Dollhouse (3rd last episode)
Jan. 10: Chuck [NEW SEASON! \o/ 2-hour premiere]
Jan. 11: Chuck [regular 8 pm timeslot]
How I Met Your Mother
Castle
[\o/]
Jan. 13: Criminal Minds
CSI: NY
Leverage

Jan. 14: Fringe
Jan. 19: White Collar [new night]
Jan. 21: Supernatural [\o/]
The Office
Jan. 22: Smallville

Feb. 2: Lost [\o/ LAST SEASON! 2-hour premiere]

Mar. 4: FlashForward (I didn't realise it would be back that late)

Plus Southland! I don't know when that restarts on TNT, but I'll probably watch the first seven episodes again before the eighth (NEW) ep airs.
Southland lives... again!

Thanks TNT. :D My Sammy-loving heart loves you.

Oh, and Ben too. More Benjamin McKenzie is always good. ;)
I'm blaming Fridays, the crappy comedy lead-ins, and FOX... Actually, we can only blame FOX for the stupid ratings. And the fact that most people are not Nielson viewers, and that Nielson is way out of date. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if half (if not most) of the Dollhouse downloaders live outside of the US. But, even with today's technology, we're unable to count 90% (or more) TV-watchers. [I get this way over Aussie TV too]

[livejournal.com profile] hobbitofkobol has made icons and banners to support the cause. There are also buttons & banners for general promotion of the show.

FYI: @pauleyperrette & @MikeWeatherly are not Pauley Perrette & Michael Weatherly. ;)

Honestly, their tweets did seem a little weird, but... There you go.

I'm not as antsy about it this week because I have other things to watch.

Currently trying to think more about Criminal Minds 4x01.

Then CSI: New York 5x01, and Fringe 1x03... Then, maybe Ugly Betty 3x01 will be available. If not, hopefully The Office 5x01.
