Oh, mother...

I'd told mum about the game I'd come up with for
the_browncoats team game for a
whedonland challenge. I told her that I'd stolen it from another website. I told her that my Team - Team Firefly - had many games to choose from, but ultimately my suggestion got picked (\o/).
I told her that sometime last weekend.
Yesterday she asked about the game, & I told her that the moderator of our team was going to announce it to the team members tomorrow (that is, today).
Tonight I spoke about it again. She asked me who the moderator was. I said what I remembered her actual name to be, followed by her pseudonym
prlrocks. I then stated that I would need to compose a post to let other team members know how to create the game with me [so I wasn't hogging all the fun or the responsibility].
I did wonder why she was interested in what I was telling her. After all, it's just another way to "waste time" on the net... but after I told her when this game was due, she said something that confused the hell out of me.
So, that'll go past the two months then.
What two months? I said we had about two weeks to set the game up.
The two months of your contract.
Huh? *Platy starts to realise her mother didn't take everything in*
She had said something about sacking earlier, that I took to mean Team Firefly might sack me from hosting the game... but with just two weeks to go, that had to be highly unlikely.
Anyway, yeah. She got my current work mixed up with what I was doing on the internet. And it's not like I had been talking about my job & then morphed into talking about this game. I hadn't said anything about work at all since I came home [1hr ago].
I had said something about the job I had the interview for on Monday - haven't heard from them yet. But, like, if I was involved with something at my current job that would go for two weeks, why the heck would I be trying to get another job that could start next week?
Anyway. That was fun. ;)
