Admittedly, all but one of these spontaneous pieces of art all come from the Haiku Game thread at Minas Tirith. I don't normally write it for my own enjoyment. ;)



I wrote a haiku
While listening to Moby sing
Of torture and pain.



Porcupine
Spiky animal
Has a relative of sorts
In the Echidna.

Breath Mints
Minty freshness fun
Keeps my mouth out of trouble
When I speak to mum.

First Snow
Where is my first snow?
Is it up in the clouds now?
I would like to know.

A Creek
Tiny trickle flows
Through a ditch so narrow, and
Under bridge it goes.

Ireland
Land of angry folk;
Love their potatoes, I hear.
Green and rainy too.

Swamp
Mire engulfing
Sweet senses executed
Give me some gumboots.

Cheese
Cheeses they pleases
The geezers who go for the
Rag’s daily teasers.

Music
Extremely trendy
Tunes are our best friends, except
When they go boom-boom.

Roleplaying Games
Game like no other
Set in wondrous lands of thought
Writers are the cast.

Daytime Soap Operas
Not all good for you
But well worth a laugh or two
These frothy programs.

Pterodactyl
A pterodactyl
Is an interesting bird
Or reptile, maybe...

The quick brown fox jumps
Over the lazy dog, and
Falls into a tree.

Insomnia
Insomnia is
Something you never do want
Involuntary.

Rainbow
Red and Yellow and Pink and
Green; Purple and Blue
And Orange: Can’t do a haiku.

Logic
It's just common sense.
Why don't you understand it?
You and your half brain.
