Writer's Block: Untimely Passing

It took a while for Heath's death to hit me. He was my first celebrity crush, and he was the first other '79er I knew about who had died. I still don't know how I feel about his passing, but it truly was a loss of great potential in the acting world.
Another one that hit me hard was Paul Hester's death. He was the drummer (& a songwriter) for Crowded House, which was my first real band-crush. I did a music assignment on them. I had to figure out what It's Only Natural was all about. I really liked Hester's sense of humour, and he was a great Aussie larrikin; so it was a real shock to me to find out he'd been so depressed before he died.

And here's Paul rocking out to that "Wipeout" tune on Aussie music quiz show RocKwiz
