I'm not against full-time work in general; just full-time data entry. If I was offered full-time work in a creative field, I'd go for it. My brain needs to be stimulated, & data entry does not do that. It might've done so at one time (I know it did when I started writing the trilogy), but I guess my brain's become immune to that. *shrugs*
In the meantime, you can't get the dog you want, seemingly because your mum doesn't think you will take financial or practical responsibility for it. If that's what she thinks, she's never said that to me. All that I remember her saying is that she doesn't want anymore hair dropping on the floor. Since I seem to have a male-mind regarding tidyness, I understand why she says that.
In the last few months I've accepted that getting another dog is not in the universe's plan for me right now, but that doesn't stop me from looking at my canine options. If and when the opportunity strikes, I want to be prepared.
